Tonight Is The Night.

Sell your old clothes, sell your girlfriends favorite shoes, sell your couch if you have to, but Battlefield 3 is release TONIGHT at midnight. I will be in line tweeting from the gamestop here in San Marcos, TX for this awesome event. I had to sell my old bass guitar amp to get this game (broke college student). Anyways don't forget what I told you about cleaning up your computer prior to going to the store, so that when you race home at 120mph your computer is ready to go. I will give you updates on how smooth the patch process goes and how smooth the game runs for those of you who don't have enough cash to buy it yet.

Follow me on Twitter.

P.S.- For those of you who ordered the digital version I hope your downloading experience is quick and painless. Personally I'd rather get the game at 12:10 (lines at GameStop), drive home (5min), install (5min), and be playing by 12:20am.

*Update 4:55pm*
DICE finally came out with a 'checklist' for installing Battlefield 3. I'd say they are acouple days late but what if they got the idea from me? Just kidding. DICE doesn't really read these blogs do they?

This morning we woke up to a shiny new metacritic score for Battlefield 3, and we are ready for you to join us online. Here are a few quick things you might want to take care of to get yourself into Battlefield 3 as quickly as possible on launch day:

1) Create an Origin account, if you haven’t already. You can do so here. If you have an EA account then you already have an Origin account! Make sure you know your account name and password.
2) Download the Origin client. You will need to have the latest version (8.3.1) of the Origin client running on your PC in order to play Battlefield 3. To make sure you're up-to-date, we recommend clicking here to get the latest version up and running on your system.
3) Double-check to make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers. Visit the drivers section at AMD or Nvidia, depending on what your manufacturer of choice is.
4) Pre-load Battlefield 3. If you purchased Battlefield 3 through Origin (or any other digital retailer that is offering BF3 and supports pre-load as an option), the game is currently available for pre-load. This means the game will be downloaded and installed already when it goes live. The game will unlock at specific times in each region, and you will not be able to play it before the unlock-time in your region.

5) Check your PC specs. Minimum and recommended specs below:
